SF Giants rain delay didn’t go our way

cueto 05.23This time the rain delay kept the game from starting for an hour and 5 minutes. We had some good luck with rain delays in St. Louis—but Chicago? Not so much. Of course it’s just one game. And it was bound to happen.

The Cubs went deep a few times before the Giants managed to dip their toes in the pool. Johnny Cueto pitched ok, but he made some mistakes and the Cubs charged him premium prices. He gave up four runs–three were home runs–five hits and one walk, He struck out eight.

The Cubs scored all their runs by the fourth inning. The Giants scored a run in the fifth when Buster Posey led off with a double and scored on  Brandon Crawford‘s double.

The final score was: Giants 1, Cubs 4

We have two games left to play at Wrigley. Right now we’re tied for the series with a win each. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. I’m keeping the faith.
