SF Giants spring disappointment

The Giants game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday was a disappointment. There’s no other word for it.

I know it doesn’t count. I know it’s just for practice. We could fill the whole head of a pin with what I know. And I know this–at first it was a tough game to watch.

The Giants got beat up pretty badly. Especially Jeff Samardzija. He had a tough time in the first inning. He faced six batters and gave up a couple of hits and a walk. Luckily he got out of it with only one run scored. He enjoyed a 1-2-3 second and a 1-2-3 third (he struck out the side). In the fourth inning he gave up back-to-back jacks. The fifth inning was worse. All-in-all, Samardzija gave up six runs on nine hits and two walks. He struck out five.

The Brewers took a no-hitter into the fifth when Brandon Belt broke it up with a single. The Giants didn’t score, but Eduardo Nunez got a base hit and the Giants finally put baserunners on board.

The Giants broke up the Brewers’ shut out in the seventh. Belt drew a lead off walk and Jae-gyun Hwang followed with a single. Gordon Beckham singled, scoring Belt and Hwang scored on Nick Hundley‘s sacrifice fly.

The Giants staged another rally in the ninth when Chris Marrero drew a walk and scored on Christian Arroyo‘s home run. The prospect got us closer, but the Giants came up short in the end.

The final score was: Giants 4, Brewers 6

The Giants face the Chicago White Sox at 1:05 pm Monday with Johnny Cueto on the mound. Looking forward to a Johnny Beisbol start! You can hear the game on the radio through MLB.com or watch the White Sox broadcast on MLB.TV.

Following today’s game the Giants reassigned IF Christian Arroyo, LHP Kraig Sitton, RHP Tyler Beede and have optioned OF Calixte to AAA

I feel that JS is not all he has been hyped up to be. Maybe I’m wrong and he will get his act together by May, hopefully sooner. I miss the core team playing together. Dang the WBC for taking players every 4 years. Of course the WBC could be considered the real World Series of base ball since their not all from North America. Lol Come on season opener, can hardly wait for the 2017 to start. Go Giants⚾️
